
Our five-day STA Level 3 Award in Education & Training qualification is an introductory teaching qualification and can be taken by individuals who are not currently within a teaching role as there is no practice requirement other than microteaching.
The qualification makes it ideal for those that aspire to become teachers, or those who have only just started in the profession. The role of a teacher in the education and training sector is a varied one, it involves planning, delivering and evaluating sessions that meet the needs of the learners and the requirements of the course. It includes record keeping and giving feedback.

An internal quality assurer (IQA) is responsible for maintaining the quality of assessment within a training organisation or centre.
The role will involve observing training and assessing practice and giving constructive feedback with meticulous record keeping. The role requires the IQA to provide support, training and standardisation for tutors and assessors along with liaising with external quality assurers to ensure that a consistent standard is maintained and that assessments are conducted and assessment decisions are made in line with awarding organisation requirements.
This qualification is intended for learners who are currently undertaking a quality assurance role within their organisation or centre and need to ensure assessment conduct and decisions are valid and reliable.

The STA Pool Plant Tutor course is designed for individuals who wish to become tutors for STA pool plant qualifications.
Here are the key details:
• Course Content: The course covers how to organise and deliver STA pool plant courses, including technical knowledge and presentation skills.
• Requirements: Candidates must meet specific prerequisites, such as holding the regulated Pool Plant Operations qualification or an acceptable equivalent and have a minimum 3 years experience in the industry working with pool plant.
• Assessment: Upon completion, tutors are granted probationary status, which may involve additional conditions such as co-tutoring a course. Following this you are required to have been successful moderation for a minimum of 4 hours delivering and assessing their first course.
• Validity: The tutor status must be maintained by attending updates and refresher courses as required by STA.
